Surround sound broken after update?

I just noticed after downloading the new patch and Pink Knight Pack that when playing the game it seems that the surround sound channel balancing is all messed up. On a 5.1 set up, all of the music is coming out of the Front L and Rear L and sound effects w/ no music out of the Front R, and nothing is coming out of the Rear R.
In the past the game primarily used the Front L and R for blending most everything so it seems the patch messed the channels up. Can anyone else verify this?
Every other game works as it should so its not 360 or A/V set up.

So yeah! Now I haven't cleared the cache and tested on an unpatched copy of the game, but since you are having the same problem I think it has to do with this title update that came out.
Sometimes I also get the message saying some file is corrupt...All I do with that error is exit the game to dashboard and start the game again.
I let the game load all the way up to the title screen without pressing any buttons and usually that does the trick. I guess the game is loading all DLC while it is loading up to the title screen, and if I press start to get to the title screen faster than it loads this dlc up then I get that error message. It seems to always be a problem with the pink knight DLC. That is since it never shows the pink knight at the character select screen when the error message comes up.

I am having the exact same problem. I listened to the mid-channel speaker and I had no sound from that one. The Front Left has the music the Front Right has the sound effects. The Back Left has music and the Back Right has nothing.
Very sad to see this kind of screwup. I hope it gets fixed because Castle Crashers to me and millions of others is the best XBLA/PSN Arcade Game of all-time.
It is very sad to see this get passed through the game testers and QA's fingers.

It's not nearly as simple as you think to QA test a game. Especially when you're comparing a small group of testers to the however many thousands of people playing the Title Update right now.It is very sad to see this get passed through the game testers and QA's fingers.

Hopefully this can be fixed soon. The music in Castle Crashers is what really made it a great game for me, and it is somewhat disappointing to me that I can't enjoy it to its fullest in 5.1 surround sound.

Technology hacks me off in that regards. I am sure Behemoth didn't do it on purpose, but it just sucks that they fix one thing and then something else messes up in the progress. It wasn't their faults because I don't think they even knew that this event (surround sound broken) would happen.
Plus in defense why would they even need to test sound in the first place since it was already working before.

Not to mention Christine's comment in another thread that the Blacksmith Pack (and, presumably, Title Update) were distributed by XBLA before The Behemoth wanted it to be.It is very sad to see this get passed through the game testers and QA's fingers.

Oh yeah, no, technology's definitely a jerk. I was talking to one of the Behemoth QA Testers at Comic Con (he was totally awesome), and he was telling me that one of the more major problems when it comes to game bugs is that when you add any new addition or fix, it pretty much triggers a mess of new glitches. Many bugs have always been in the game, only they don't have an effect until some change of code opens the door for them.Technology hacks me off in that regards. Seconded. I get to "babysit" a system for a living, among other jobs. Every time we try to add ANYTHING it breaks something. And the end users who don't know how complicated the whole system is don't understand why something so "simple" can take so long. So I can completely relate to The Behemoth's situation.Oh yeah, no, technology's definitely a jerk. I'm also glad that the bugs will (probably) be worked out before the new DLCs are released on PSN.
Christine: Does The Behemoth take a look at the "Post any NEW Castle Crashers issues" thread very often? I've posted several things there and never seen any response. But then again, a lot of them are minor.

Someone asked us to "bare" with them. I took my clothes off like requested and the problem is still there.

can we at least get the courtesy of an update on the issue?
at least let us uninstall the update that broke the game in the first place.
i am getting angry that after supporting your product with a purchase, we are being ignored after you guys broke the game with an update that has, as far as i can tell, only added an advertising banner to the menu screen.

They're looking into it, are you expecting a daily update on the problem? This problem isn't exactly on their top priority list. You shouldn't be getting angry at them for such a problem. You payed for 15 dollars and now their looking into it, there's your service.hello? is anyone at behemoth even reading this thread?

The update did a lot; I'm very surprised you can't see anything it did and you haven't been ignored.
Now stop being so ignorant. It makes the community look like a bunch of ungrateful brats.

there hasn't been an update regarding this issue since september 2nd, despite repeated posts asking for one.
you're the one being ignorant and giving the community a bad name. my post had nothing to do with you and yet you felt the need to attack me personally because of a legitimate issue i'm having with the game. find something better to do, like studying.

After we've read your concerns on the forums and in our emails, we're now aware of this issue. We did not encounter this problem before sending out the Title Update to be reviewed. It was missed going through outside tests as well.
We're working on a fix for this, so please bare with us!
Christine
still broken, any update?

So, I created this thread 1 year ago and this still has not been fixed? Is this one of those things that the Behemoth is never going to fix? This quoted reply led us to believe it was being looked at...
