At PAX East this year, we unveiled a very special, new arcade cabinet for Super Soviet Missile Mastar. The cabinet served two purposes: it allowed people to play the game in an appropriate communist setting, and it doubled as a missile launch unit. That's right, in addition to the cabinet itself, we built a giant soviet missile that one lucky PAX attendee would get to walk away with.
The challenge was simple: whoever ended up with the highest score in the game at PAX would win this massive missile to take home. Some game companies give away t-shirts and drink koozies... we give away weapons of mass destruction. Just imagine how easy it'd be to plow through all that congestic city traffic with a rocket-powered warhead strapped to the roof of your car! Here's a little video featuring an interview with the programmer, Tom Fulp, along with footage of the Super Soviet Missile Mastar cabinet and the lucky missle winner:
The Super Soviet Missile Mastar cabinet will be at the PAX Prime this year and stronger than ever, so join your fellow comrades by coming out to view this spectacle in all its intimidating red glory. Da! And don't forget, to check out Super Soviet Missile Mastar.
