There are two types of games that really grind my gears. The first are games whose combat system revolves around simply tapping a single button over and over again. I don't see the challenge or skill in playing these games, not to mention it gets very boring, very fast. A good example of this would be Ninja Gaiden Black on the original Xbox. I'm not sure about the 360 versions but believe me I wasn't going to pick up another one.
The second type of games that grinds my gears are games that are supposed to be sequals but instead are actually the same exact game only with a fresh coat of paint on. Nintendo is notorious for doing this, examples are; The Legend of Zelda, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Brothers. Examples for the Xbox 360 are Fable II and Grand Theft Auto IV.
