If you said yes to these questions, then this game is up your alley!
To try and summarize the game as best as I can, I'm going to put the info in spoilers for organization!
STORY
Spoiler
ONLINEThe story begins in the kingdom of Balandor, where a princess' coming-of-age banquet is raided by an evil organization called Magi. A boy called Leonard grabs the princess's hand and leads her to safety in the castle cellars, where he finds a strange suit of armor that transforms him into an Incoruptus known as the White Knight – an ancient warrior with the strength to defeat Magi's forces. Princess is then captured by the Magi, and Leonard is set forth to rescue her.
You also in the beginning make your own character, which you then can use for the online portion.

GAMEPLAYThe online is not bad. The only gripe I have with it would be how difficult it is at first to set-up a game to play with friends, and that you have to advance until after the prologue in the game in order to get online.
After setting up a party, the party leader then "creates" a quest by going to a specific NPC, and taking on a quest. The quests can be purchased or unlocked as you continue through the game's storyline, so as to keep the player from just playing the online only.
The place where you create quests online, is someone's village that they can purchase, upgrade, and customize from purchases done from the single-player. At first, it's fairly inadequate, but after a little time and an upgrade or two, it helps you with both online AND single-player by offering new items at the stores. Everything from the largest houses to the simple fence, to even a box can be made and moved. Anyone who loves playing "The Sims" just to make houses will love this feature in the game.

CHARACTERS AND TERMINOLOGYThe gameplay is fairly unique, and depending on perspective, rather really good, or really bad.
You have 3 different things to look after: HP(Health Points), MP(Magic Points), and AC(Action Chips). The action chips are used up when using combos, or transforming into an Incoruptus.
The leveling system gives you 4 points a level to distribute amongst 8 different trees, each pertaining to a different fighting style. The trees are:
Swords (should be "Small Blades"), Longswords (2-handers), Attack Magic, Spears, Bows, Axes (2-handed), Healing Magic, and Staves.
Each tree offers roughly 50 skills, each requiring anywhere from 1 to 5 points. Most skills must be unlocked to be accessed by learning other skills. The skills learned are what you use to fight.
Now, fighting.
The battle system is different. You got a kind of quick-bar at the bottom, much like an MMO, where you put skills and combos. Some skills require you to use up AC, some MP, some both. Combos are made by stringing together skills in the skill assigning menu, which increases the AC consumption of attacks, but requires less time to wait between some attacks.
Fighting itself is not too hard. You must wait for an action timer before you can attack, which from there you can select skills to use from the hotkey bar along the bottom, by using the D-Pad. Combos are done by timing the "X" button when the action timer flashes on between each skill use, and can make combat go much faster.
It's a fairly unique combat system, and will take a tiny bit of time to get use to, but with enough patience you eventually will get it.
Equipment, fairly basic.
You got your main hand, off-hand, torso, gloves, legs, boots, and 2 accessory slots. Accessory slots include the use of earrings, rings, necklaces, and cloaks. Certain items increase and/or decrease certain stats, some are just for decoration (I gave my avatar a cloak for 2 measly DEF, but it made him look more Badass). Most equipment also has level restrictions, so as to prevent the level 4 newbie from getting a 70 attack blade, wrecking havoc wherever they went.

Ratings, it didn't hit so well, apparently, yet it sold over 700k copies in Japan.
I personally really enjoy the game! The combat, the Georama (where you make a village), the story, it's all very entertaining, and time consuming!
