I saw this game on commercials and also saw some gameplay on youtube. I was thinking about getting it but should I play the other games first or can I go for this one?

To my understanding it isnt so much related to the other game, but (i have been said) the other ones are cool too.I saw this game on commercials and also saw some gameplay on youtube. I was thinking about getting it but should I play the other games first or can I go for this one?
I guess is up to you, but i would buy it if i was in your place.

My cousin has this game and he loves it. I'll probably pick it up eventually. I was a huge fan of the original on the xbox but the quality kept deteriating with each installment of the series. I'm curious to see how Ubisoft's revamp of the series is.
