I don't know if anyone out there has noticed but the price of everything keeps going
UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

Min wage in canada is now 10.25
I make 15$ a hour
Its not too far off...
Mind you I've been at my job for 5 years now and still no raises while when i worked at walmart i got one every year.

Sad thing is my mom makes just as much as minimum wage now and they wont raise her up to where she was.

Bottom line is everything is increasing by 10%
Gas/Water/Heat/Hydro/Cable/Phone/Satalite/Food/etc...

How can people survive or live on this??
I know its to get people off welfare and other things but it's making the people like me have a tough time supporting a family.

Hell even my boss has raised the prices of the jobs we do so he can buy a new truck and a mustang. Real tough times for him...

Anyone else share this kind of agrivation with their jobs?

Yeah i should be happy i got one etc.. but bottom line is i could work at tim hortons and walk to work and be just as rich...

I don't even get paid overtime!
(I work in construction for a paving company)

Yes, this sucks.
Many families, including my own, are having a hard time dealing with this.

I wish we were in another economic boom, or at least had lower prices.

Remember our last "economic boom", the roaring 20's, what followed was the great depression.
I'd prefer to be in a ecomic stalemate.

There was another economic boom around the 1950's.
But you're right, the after effect wouldn't be so nice.

My mother is going to be laid off, her company is moving to Michigan (cheaper to operate a company there than in California)
Then I'll have to go back to Michigan :'(

Heres my predictions of what jobs are going to the ditch

Health care
Government jobs (schools and people running things in offices)

reason being is they want everyone to use the internet (license stickers etc)

Teachers will be replaced with few teachers and computers for testing and teaching

Doctors will be private stealing away things from the goverment (private treatments etc)

Dentists will always be in demand
Construction will always be in demand

The auto industry will go downward due to imports until people switch from gasoline to a new source and every vehicle switches over

Retail will be fighting with over seas and imports as usual... not a good career

Movie industry and cable tv etc/radio are going down hill due to the internet
You can get everything on the internet

computers will be high demand getting more smaller and compact etc...

Video games will always be in demand

Army/Law officers always in demand

Plumbers/electrictians always in demand as we need people to repair and install things

roofers and carpenters always in demand...

basically building people will always be in demand...

people running the buildings not so good...

More people will rent and less people will buy houses

Some people will not be able to afford living on two incomes they will have to have others live with them.

basically everything is going to crud
