Animation Practice

It's hard, considering I have to use some really terrible programs that don't work well together.
Here's a question for you: Do you know of any cheap or free animating programs that I could use to learn some basic animation?
---
I've already done a bit of animating in my past.
Here's some more recent tests:
---
I want to animate, but I don't have anything to animate.
I need a story, or something.
I would do AMVs, but as I said, it's really hard to use the programs I have and would be almost impossible to do AMVs with actual timing.
I'm going to let you guys suggest short stories and whatnot for me to animate as practice.
Keeping in mind that I can't draw, much less animate, humans.
---
Thanks for your help.

I swear I've heard about that bird before.how about that story with the bird that puts rocks in the vase (I think it was a vase) to raise the water level so he could drink Also cool videos, I got to subscribe to you.
Good idea, actually.
I think I may use that.

Thanks.

Isn't it obvious those were unfinished?Well just I see your doing fine already. The animation is good just the drawing's you need work with I guess. Making videos can be easy though all you have to do is draw a little bit at a time.
If I'd gone to the trouble to finish them, it wouldn't just be red sketches.

EDIT:
Thanks, but it's downloading in a .zip package, which I'll need a tutorial for.http://www.pencil-animation.org/

It should just be a .zip folder then.Meaning it isn't even a program. What do you mean by that?

Open the folder, then choose "Extract All Files", then choose a folder you want it to be in.
Then say OK.
If there isn't even an application in it after extracting, then it's absolutely useless.

Been there, done that.Open the folder, then choose "Extract All Files", then choose a folder you want it to be in.

If there isn't even an application in it after extracting, then it's absolutely useless.
It says the application don't exist.
I'm giving up on this. I need more experience with animating.

Wow, you could be really good at this. The only thing I might add is a bit more head movement. The mouth opening on the first cycle was cool.I decided to fix what's been bothering me for an entire year.
