Never played Bioshock, but I do love how they use hand expressions instead of cut-scenes. Really just makes the game look great.

Its a first person game so the in-game cut scenes look like that its cool.
Also you really should play bioshock even if you're not into scary games :P

Wow, this looks interesting.
So, instead of being underwater, like the first two games, this one appears to be in the air.
Hopefully this means they'll have some steampunk styles/stuff. :)

Looks cool i think the person at the end is a little sister as a adult or i dunno.

I doubt it.
But, it is possible.

I checked the website, and this game "is a sequel, but it also is not'". Taking place in 1912, this game should be more reliant on handmade things, rather than mostly manufactured things. Craftsmen, blacksmiths, and other things are likely to take a role.

It claims rather than being like the claustrophobic Bioshock, it will be out and open, ready to be explored and taken in. The steampunk flavor should certainly boost this thing.

The trailer has made me the most excited I've been since Irrational announced the first Bioshock long ago.

So, instead of in the water, in the air. A bit weird, but hopefully it will go well. And what are the odds that there are big daddy's in the sky too :P

I loved Bioshock 2, (I voted it shooter of the year in golden joystick) so hopefully this will be just as good.

Edit: WTF, it isn't gonna be dark anymore.

Made by the original bioshock devs sounds like win to me! Bioshock 2 was very good but it just didn't draw me in as much as the first. Also it's confirmed the game is a prequal.

I agree, the whole feeling of the first made me feel like i was in there, but i think B2 had superior controls and was more fast paced (like the hacking, which is good imo)

Anyway my theory is
Since it looks like the guy was in the water thing (dunno the name) my guess is that the first Bioshocks were an imagination of this guy or something like that.

I can't wait to put my hands in this game

I don't think it's an imagination thing keep in mind this takes place in 1912. i think it could possibly be one of andrew ryans early attempts at rapture maybe just maybe.

This looks absolutely amazing. From what I can see is it's a "sequel (Or prequel) but no necessarily related to Bioshock 1&2, but I'm interested to see if/how they relate the flying city(ies) to Rapture.

Me, the creepyness is what makes Bioshock so good for me. I am sure it will still be dark inside I geuss, but it just won't be as cool.

I don't see why they need the Bioshock name for this. Its a completely different setting, new characters, different feel and look.

Bioshock =/= Rapture

Rapture is just a city in the Bioshock universe, There is much more to Bioshock than just Rapture.

so stop complaining, the underwater setting started to grow old towards the middle of Bioshock 2 anyways, sure there is much more they could do with it but if they kept it in the water for a third game it would have that been there done that kind of vibe to it.

Be thankful that they're trying something new, that's something that most franchises don't do.

Because you know, darkness ALWAYS means creepiness.
And obviously nothing creepy can exist in a lighter setting.

Nothing is as creepy in a light setting as it is dark. Except stories. You can't read them very well in the dark. It is much harder for stuff to pop out of the shadows, if there is none.

I disagree, mainly because stuff not necessarily have to come from the shadows, and because light can blind you as much as darkness

Its a loose loose situation.
Name it Bioshock, and people start to think you're cashing in on the title.
Name it something else and it suddenly becomes a rip off of Bioshock.
Oh well.
Also, Bioshock 2 wasn't made by Irattional, which explained the boring settings.

Thats, "If there are none."

Also, you need to learn that there's more ways to create something creepy than just surprising you with something ugly looking.
