  2. Hey guys, with the League of Ninjas in battleblock theater, I was thinking that we needed our own Castle Crashers clan. Xbox or PS3, it doesn't matter because this is just a group for people who are either good at normal, insane, arena or AYCQuaff. Post your gamertag or PSN and you can tell us your lifetime wins or your level characters. The minimum requirement for the divisions are: 15 white skulls = story normal 1 gold skull (not level skipped) = story insane 50 ranked wins = Arena 40 ranked wins = AYCQuaff Story Mode (Normal): Industrial Knight/Hallow Fighter (XBL) Story Mode (Insane): SWag Bbq (XBL) trickster2599 (PSN) Zephyr (PSN) MmayhemM (PSN) Arena (Ranked): xNarwhalNinjax (XBL) Zephyr (PSN) All you can Quaff (Ranked):
  3. Grab your eggnog, and put on your santa hats! First up, is Halloween. Once that is gone, we have Thanksgiving! And what is next for most people? Hanukkah? No! Its CHRISTMAS! My second playlist, aswell as my second arena playlist is being created and will hit (battleblock) theaters on ??/??/14. It is a Christmas themed playlist with crummy names like my hall of pain playlist. I want to thank MeltedCow for talking about holiday themed playlists that turned my brain to a lightbulb. If anyone has suggestions, tell me... well, here! This is a work in progress playlist and I am currently working on the first level. Thank you all for the support as I was making my H.o.P. playlist! Speaking of eggnog, we need an eggnog thread..... - Michael
  4. Can’t believe the crushing excitement and playable insanity of our upcoming Ball Game Steam tournament? Us either! But don’t worry, you sensitive creative types — we haven’t forgotten you. Starting today, we’re accepting submissions for our BattleBlock Theater Arena Mode Playlist Creation Contest! Anyone 13 or older can submit their original XBLA or Steam Arena Mode playlists for consideration. We’re accepting playlist submissions from July 15th to August 15th. The very best playlists for each platform (as decided by our panel of judges) will be awarded grand prizes or honorable mentions. The grand prize will be some awesome BattleBlock Theater merchandise signed by our Level Designers, as well as immediate and exciting recognition as an Arena Mode Feature in-game. Honorable mentions will also receive incredible BattleBlock Theater merchandise, and consideration for future Features. There will be one grand prize per platform (so that’s two total — one for XBLA and one for Steam), as well as two additional honorable mentions per platform. To read all the important info and to register your Arena playlist, go HERE. Good luck!

  6. Hey, so I was wondering what the next Furbottom's Feature is going to be. I mean they featured a Coop, then theirs which was Solo and Coop, and now an Arena. I think it is going to be a Solo feature next Friday but I'm not sure. I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what type of feature will be next Friday? Thanks.
  7. Oh hello there! Oh so fancy! Nah not doing that lol, SO! I released my new playlist which consists of all ballgame! Go ahead and grab a slice of "Caesar Salud"! It consists of some pretty challenging ballgames that all have different techniques, trickshots, map layouts, and each map has it's own special "perk". Go try it with some friends! Or if you're me play by yourself and score on yourself...jk
  8. Hello everyone. I've been working on this playlist since release, and finally uploaded the playlist a week ago. It features a mixed bag of arena types with many crossover stages as well. The final stage features muckle, king, bball, and horse all in one map. I put a lot of focus on balance especially on the multi-type maps. Trying to strike a balance with a color your world / king of the hill map was quite difficult, but it ended up being one of my favorites to play. My goal is to get this list featured. Please go give it a try and rate it. If you have any questions or opinions I'd love to hear your feedback here.
  9. Good... evening I guess my friends! today I uploaded a Back-Up playlist of the playlist called: Death Under. This playlist contains 11 levels and I want YOU, to take it to the test! Remember: these are levels in test, not the final product, so if you want to give some feedback that would be great! Name: BU GT: HTTP 405 Error I forgot to mention it: THIS IS MY 100TH POST!! YAY YAAY!! pls rate 5 though it is just a back-up. Tip!: Remember, 9/10 levels in this playlist requires alot of dodge-dy-dodgdy skills! (you say it like: dodgedie dodgedie. I got that from a friend while playing ssbb with ness/lucas' ulty xD)
  10. The recent arena FF has many levels where multiple game types are used. You might think this is a good way to boost the fun factor of a level, but unless done right will actually ruin the level. It's apparent throughout We Like Sportz. Different game types give different amounts of points, and whichever gives the most and/or is the easiest to obtain will be the focus of the level. For example: putting Grab the Gold as the game type then adding a king block(s) will make the match King of the Hill focused. Putting Ball Game as the game type then adding horse base blocks will make the match Capture the Horse focused. Let me break it down by showing the least point heavy mode to most: Grab the Gold - gives 1 point per gold piece; takes a while to get gold to safe; will probably get up to 20 points per match. Ball Game - gives 7 or 10 points per basket; depending on level design anywhere from 7 to 56 per match. Soul Snatcher - gives 1 point slowly per soul; easily get 50 points per match min. King of the Hill - gives 1 point rapidly per person; 100s place possible per match. Capture the Horse - gives 1 point consistently per person and 25 points per capture; is like mobile king block with benefits; easily get to 100s place per match. Color the World - gives 1 point per normal block or spike block if hit on spike side; highly dependant on level structure but usually in the 200s or 300s place per match. Muckle - gives 2 or 3 points per hit, 10 per self death, and 20 per kill; will usually get to 300s place easily per match. A balance needs to be obtained where both (or even three) game types give a significant value to the level. If you add Capture the Horse to another game type (besides Muckle), make it harder to get to their horse or get to your goal. Use less normal blocks for Color the World if you add Ball Game or King of the Hill to it, but make sure the extra game type isn't too easy to score either. Don't add any game types to Grab the Gold unless it's a difficult Ball Game. Any extra game types in Muckle will be chump change in the long run, and unless done right will be insignificant or add unfair randomness to the score. Adding all three extra game types to a mode is ignorant as Capture the Horse will be the dominant booster. I hope this helps people create better combo levels and prevents good concepts turning into levels with the wrong picture on the door.
  11. Hello everyone there! I made a while ago a new arena playlist called Tree eats you, the reason why i post this topic now is that I just discovered it. For those dummies who don't know how to find my player created playlist let me explain: First of all: when you are in the mainscreen go to xbox live game. Second: you want to host my playlist, so go to host match and select arena: community theater. Third: select search for playlist and type in my name (HTTP 405 Error) or search for Tree eats you and then (suprise suprise) select the playlist. The fourth thing you want to do: Go ahead and relax while you are consuming some pizza so you can enjoy your journey to collect fellowers who can enjoy my playlist too! The fifth and final thing: PLAY! Let your problems be eating away by the tree where you are playing on!! Thanks for reading and playing my playlist! Feedback is appreciated! And remember: Eat pizza and rate 5!! (looks like Dan P doesn't it?)

  15. Playlist Name: TheTimeHasCome Gamertag: Babadingldoo Playlist Type: Arena ...to play with switches! ~My body is on the switches.~ I remember someone asking for levels involving switches, so I made a whole playlist (seeing how original the idea I am). This is a fairly mixed arena playlist, with two of each type and a challenge at the end. I used all the regular block patterns, all the block colors, all the background types (excluding the metal one), and an even number of background colors, so the levels should look unique and the playlist visually fresh. The levels get progressively harder after every pair, so all players should find something at their level of play. I took way too long to make each of these levels, and they probably suck too, but I can't fiddle with them any more. I have a feeling due to the difficulty and the crampness of most of the levels that this won't get featured, but that's the kind of game I like to play. Will probably get one stars from a lot of casuals and rage quitters, but I guess that's just how it is. Thanks to the few that beta tested my playlist privately, I would have uploaded a lot of broken levels without you. I hope you enjoy the experience and wait for your feedback eagerly. Here are the descriptions and what I'd like to think are humerous speeches for each level. If you want the levels to be a surprise, don't open the spoilers.
  16. I would like to test my finish playlist with a full room of players before I upload it (so I don't need to do v2 stuff). I'm looking for constructive criticism on each level, so write down any pros and cons after each pair of three levels, then when we play all 15 collect your thoughts and post them in this thread without giving too much away to the unaware; I would like to keep my ideas a secret until I upload it to the community portal. I am on right now. My gamertag is the same as my username here. If we can't get enough right now we can try a later date. I have off from work Tuesday but hopefully we can play before that during the nights.
  17. I'm almost done with my first arena playlist, but before I can finish I need to know whether challenges in a mixed playlist will become solo or co-op. Should I make one for solo play and have it be easier for co-op, or make one for co-op play and have it harder (or not beatable) for solo? Also if I put challenges in my playlist, will the game auto assign the playlist to be co-op and hosts will have to wait for a full room just to start, will it assign solo and the whole playlist can only have two players, or will it allow 2-4 players like any other arena playlist?
  18. We won 2 matches, and he left halfway through the third. I got MVP in both of them, too! Dan, if you're out there, I was IvanTheBrutal in that match, and it was awesome playing with you! That was really clever how you used the throw to toss enemy players off the hill in that KoTH match. I'll be sure to use that next time
  19. I am creating a playlist called Sh4dowBall. The playlist is called Sh4dowBallTest1.I have currently created 4 levels. 1 easy, 1 medium and 2 a little under hard. The AI can't play them though. remember it's more fun with friends . please tell me feedback on the levels and what I add or improve.
  20. I know this is a very pathetic question, but can you make a custom arena level? I'm sure you can, as the blocks for arena game modes are in the level editor, but every time I try to make one it says I need gems and a start for my adventure level. Can someone please tell me how to make one?
  21. I haven't seen a topic about adding others as friends for arena and/or story mode. In the last couple months I have been playin CC with my gf only to find that the online arena mode wasn't too competitive let alone getting someone to join your match. About a week and half ago I was so close to the 40 wins and got smashed by "insert name here." I had no idea you could juggle like that when madbestkiller completely destroyed me. I learned to juggle and found myself pretty good and took wins of these top players who I never saw until that day After the tornament is over I expect the majority of players not to be on as often, but I would like to continue playing you guys. Everyone knows the feeling of waiting for someone to join and get someone with 0 games played and pick Beefy. Treasure or Quickdraw... Anyway I wanted to make a list of people who would like to add their gamer tag to this post so that we can continue to play once in a while when some of us are on. TLDR; making a list of people for online arena battles for and after the tournament. - xbox gamer tag xSaviorselfx Xbox 360 list xSaviorselfx True Konquest Reliable Random Shnoggle v3 kptn howdy Fuzziskii slippy5 FlabCaptain Gamefemale
