Update 5: Infinite Wisdom is here!   10/05/2017

Hey everyone, We’re back with another update that really mixes some stuff up. An entirely new challenging mode, a rebalance of the entire game to go with the rework of the new leveling progression numbers, ability to do the co-op intro online, faster PVP rounds, language translations and more! With the rebalance you’ll find that your fighters are dealing even more damage as they gain experience. All balance changes are retro-active meaning you do not have to worry about starting over or starting new characters in order to experience that – they’re all dynamically applied to what you already have! Feel free to check out what we’ve changed in the list below, and as always – please leave us feedback about anything you find noteworthy. As always, the main Story (although not included in this update) is being developed alongside all these improvements we have been releasing. Check out our blog for the full changelist: http://blog.thebehemoth.com/2017/09/28/update-5-infinite-wisdom-is-here/

Three Weapons That Make No Sense

Recommended Posts

If the Black Morning Star, Fishing Spear, and the Lollipop were removed, then by my grading scale, every weapon in the game would be ranked according to their level from highest to lowest (aka 35 > 30 > 20 > 15 > 10 > 5 > 1). While most level 20/30/35 weapons are fairly well balanced with eachother, at this point in time, aside from the snakey staff, the 35's and 30's are finally a tad better.

Anyway, back to the point of this thread.

Most level 20 weapons are in A rank and S rank, with 10 to 16 points on average. The Black Morning Star has 5.5 points and is in C Rank. If the stats were changed from what they are now to -3 strength +6 magic +1 defense 2% critical hit, then it would be in S rank with 17 points, making it the second highest ranked level 20 weapon to the snakey staff, which makes it fit perfectly into a weapon system that ranks from highest to lowest level.

Most level 15 weapons are in B and A rank with 8 to 12 points on average. The Fishing Spear has 2.5 points and is in D rank. If the stats were changed from what they are now to +5 strength +3 magic, then it would be in A rank with 10.5 points, which would make it fit perfectly into a weapon system that ranks from highest to lowest level.

Most level 1 weapons are in E, D, and C rank with -0.5 to 4 points on average. The Lollipop has 8.5 points and is the highest ranked weapon within B rank. If its stats were changed from what they are now to -1 defense +3 agility, then it would be in D rank with 3.5 points, which would make it fit perfectly into a weapon system that ranks from highest to lowest level.

Before dismissing this, please just realize that this isn't just a request from a fan, but legitimate insight into ways you can better refine your game into a finished product, which to be honest you're closer than ever to achieving.

most of the weapons were nerfed to poop to make insane mode a little more challenging... the weapons that were nerfed removed crits or buffs for certain stats to bring the level 30 weapons into play.  while this does suck it makes it a little more fun as you have to fight for your builds...

Idk what you're smoking but there's no new challenge when the stat pets and new weapon stats make for better combinations than you could even conceive of before. There was no point in nerfing the Black Morning Star (The only weapon that actually got nerfed badly)

Why not ask dan or the devs then since it concerns you so much?

The black morning star had +5 mag and crit before? Crit made it op

There is more of a challenge now.. Most of the weapons are found throughout insane mode rather then dlc... Quite f'n obvious

I like the new balance and the more elemental feel to alot of the weapons.. Why be limited and one minded to a weapon that everyone uses?

-3 strength +6 magic +1 defense 1% crit, now it has everything the same but just 1 magic. The crit didn't make it OP because even with the crit it had an overall -1.9 strength anyway. It was just good because of the 6 magic, so it was just a tiny bit better than the unicorn horn, which was left intact.

This is the most tame debate I've seen in years. If this is the worst you have to deal with as a moderator then just sit back because you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
