  1. Woah relax with the hostility, the thread you linked is fairly new - my post was back in 2k10 and it was requesting CC to steam plus the use of steamworks if possible. I didn't find any similar threads regarding steam Anyway have a nice day - I'll just stick to reading the forum since you've all made it so hostile
  2. I just found out today that battleblock theater is coming to steam and I was very happy as I never got to play it. I just have to ask, a few years back I came on here when I made the transition (not really, but when I finally got a beefy enough rig to go back to playing counter-strike) to ask the behemoth to bring their wonderful titles to the pc world I made this thread: http://forums.thebehemoth.com/index.php?/topic/9826-behemoth-please-bring-your-works-to-steamworks-details-ins/ I'm just curious beyond curious, was I the sole cause for this? or was it planned beforehand! I'd just love to know because I always wanted your titles on pc. Hoping BBT is a huge improvement over the CC port and very excited to play it for the first time when it comes out!
  3. A year or two would be fine in my book Or a lock, this isnt the first time a PC port was asked for http://forums.thebehemoth.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2427 Ah, indeed there is another thread on it, but this one is slightly different, that one is asking for a pc port Castle crashers using steamworks would be linked with steam, and would prevent the piracy because when you put a game on Steam, it's linked to your account, and it has a CD-key that has infinite re-activations (only can be used on the account it is first used on) And also, this is an explanation of all the benefits from steamworks, and the how-to on where to do it, also i'm like 99.99% sure Valve can help them bring it over, also they would be allowed to release private and public betas so people could test before it came out, and i'm sure that would be a huge help! And, after reading some of the posts people seem to agree that it would be a great idea But, it's not just for this game in general, it's for this game and upcoming games, and previous games! Do I think it's coming soon? no, i think they should finish what they're working on now, battleblock and the ps3 version, and then take this into consideration
  4. The little thing they win is being a registered member of the forums!! horay! Well, I doubt all of them would stay, but a few extra member couldn't hurt too bad
  5. Bah, why did i click on the link, just had to re-watch the awesome trailer! :'(
  6. i think the game has potential already, and for me and my friends, none of us were dissapointed with the final product, loved it, and loved the intense pvp 1v1s online also, the cute humor in the story mode, amazing land scapes, and simple gameplay made the game have a huge re-playability level anyway, to every man his own, your opinion is yours
  7. Maybe they aren't interested in visiting their website, just saying yes, and some of them do not know about the website, not everyone has that "common knowledge" **gummi quote** I think it's more likely that they're not interested. I mean, how many games do you currently play? Now, how many of their websites do you go to?**sushi gummi quote** i play counterstrike source quake live quake 4 alien swarm urban terror natural selection (waiting for NS2) and i visit all of their sites daily i also visit sites for games i use to play anyway, just a suggestion, i thought it might bring more members to the website also, the quote thing is very confusing, everytime I seem to quote someone it has a 3 quote max warning, but i get lost on trying to remove the quotes and end up making someones quote in my own post, haha, silly me
  8. ontopic: nice background, if you did the artwork yourself, amazing, if just resizing as a background, still cool offtopic:\/ You can do that with the 360, although its methods are not considered legal by microsofts code of conduct (which I think is horrible) It requires signing the wallpaper background to your account ID, which is a static set of numbers, and a few letters that come with your account, and it's the ID all of your DLC, save games, and etc are linked to, they check for that ID and once they see it, they let you use that content, so it would require, taking the ID of the wallpaper, and making it think it's yours.. of course i am not allowed to talk about that Although, Microsoft should stop being babies, and accept that people can make it past their silly DRM, which shouldn't be there anyway, although I think they do it to stop companies like Action Replay, and GameShark from profiting from their consoles, that is the true reason behind it, atleast that is what I think
  9. Hello, as useful as this thread is to those who need it, it's great, but please suggestion to DMZ (de-materialize) your console, or even router is a very risky take, when you DMZ you are allowing all of your ports to be open, that means computer hackers, bots, and what not can freely travel through any of your ports and attack you directly, only forward ports that you need to forward and you know what the port is for... Otherwise, good tutorial for those looking how to forward their ports
  10. That is not what i was referring too, the game is still linked with steam, if you install that backup, steam installs with it, that is the same exact thing as having steam and installing from steam, but just to use if your internet is down, like i said the only way we can ever get real backups (not linked to steam) is if steam closes or they announce it with some huge update, also whatever version you backup is what you backup, if the game updates and you don't have connection to steam you're SOL edit1: i will no longer reply to your posts unless you send me a private message, we are going off topic from this original thread
  11. Are you sure? i've been with steam since 2003 (the day it came out) and it never had a dvd-backup feature, and doubt it will, but if it does ever come, it's because they will no longer be supporting that title, or steam will be closing down, only way i can see those features being added and please, if you still want to go offtopic, send me a private message
  12. right, but if what you are saying is right, then how come all of those users are not registered on the forum?? some people need an extra push to do something, and positive reinforcement is just the thing Maybe they aren't interested in visiting their website, just saying yes, and some of them do not know about the website, not everyone has that "common knowledge" and with the general push and what not, if they don't want to go to the site, then they won't, but adding an addition that will make the site more "out there" and obvious, will attract a-lot of new members, who didn't even know there was a site to begin with
