    E3 2016

I wanted to stay up until 2am for the PS stream, but I fell asleep at about 1:30 :c. Catching up, it seems like I missed the best conference of the show, but given this year's content that isn't saying much (just imo). Really enjoying Nintendo's Treehouse event right now, though. Pokemon Sun/Moon and Zelda look fun.

    E3 2016

I feel that year on year EA prove they're falling more and more out of touch with their core audience. Looks like there's a lot for casuls to get excited for, though. Also you should probably put that huge wall of text in a spoiler hahaha.

    E3 2016

I'm not sure I can get any more excited for MHGenerations but I'm still looking forward to seeing that game some more. Besides that I'm looking forward to Sony's conference. VR is just around the corner, but I'm sure they have plenty of other stuff to get hype about too...It starts @2AM here though and I have to work Tuesday morning :c. Also Nintendo always have a couple of nice surprises up their sleeve so I'll try and catch their Treehouse stream again this year.
  4. Do Microsoft still repair those for free? I had a few 360s die on me over the years, but tech support always told us to send them off for repair, free of charge.

    E3 2016

E3 starts today! Time to go out and buy some energy drinks and junk food, and deprive my body of sleep/nourishment for the next few days. 9PM British time for EA, then 3AM(!) for Bethesda. If last Bethesda's Showcase from last year is anything to judge by, it should be good so I'll definitely be staying up late/early for it.
  6. I brokeded the lobby system the first time I joined one in the new GuiltyGear :c Other than that, great game. Actually, I also take issue with the slight increase in graphical bloom on the character models...but other than that, great game.
  7. Just heard this on the radio so I'm sure it'll be stuck in my head all day:
  8. If you missed all the awesome new features & additions that made X/Y great I think Sun/Moon is going to knock your socks off. I mean, if the game turns out to be good, of course.

    E3 2016

Unless the game has been released elsewhere in the world and has already received good scores and positive reviews. Then pre-orders are usually worth it just for the bonuses, e.g: Also I was never hyped for Watch_Dugs

    E3 2016

I have a week off work next week, but I start back on the 14th so I won't be able to stay up all night watching E3 streams for the first time in years :c Catching up on trailers the day after is just as fun though...right?
  11. I don't know how to fix this either, but hopefully someone comes along who does
  12. If the islands/cities are as big as those in X/Y I don't think there being too much water is much of a problem for me. It fits the theme of the region pretty well imo.
  13. I don't really like the design of those watch things. I'm loving the more casual designs of all the main characters this time around, but it makes the wrist-pieces stick out like sore thumbs in comparison. It's almost like they were designed just to sell toys or something. Overall though, my outlook for these games is still very positive (even with Solgaleo's weird typing) and I look forward to seeing more before release.
  14. I haven't had time to catch any of it yet, but its on my list of stuff to catch on my days off work coming up soon
  15. Whoa are those really amiibo? Those look pretty big and incredibly detailed for amiibo, not to mention those don't look like amiibo stands (although maybe this is some kind of prototype?) Yeah Capcom announced these amiibo would be releasing along with the Monster Hunter Stories game/anime in Japan later this year. The figures do look kinda big for amiibo, but they definitely look like prototypes so they could change before release. Hopefully the finished products look this big/detailed though.
  16. I'm still going back to SFV nearly every day. I'm in a love-hate relationship with it; I love the gameplay...I just hate everything else. Also started playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite again in preparation for Generations in July. And I just finished up the JJBA: Eyes of Heaven demo. Lot of content in there for a demo: the full first story chapter and an offline VS CPU mode w/ 4 playable characters. Not baaad.
  17. 4 Words. MONSTER. HUNTER. STORIES. AMIIBO. If these ever get a western release, I'll definitely be picking at least one of them up!
  18. If you think this community is toxic compared to other small forums on the internet you're both crazy hahaha. When I left here back in '11 I looked around for a bit, finding other forums and communities for stuff I was interested in and what not. For the most part, the veteran members of those forums were much worse than what I think of of our current older members. Veterans were usually very bitter (even hostile) towards newer members. Their mods were usually power drunk and would even go as far as banning newbies the veterans didn't like, sometimes for no other good reason. Newbies are going to be a little nervous in every community. They're always going to do things older members don't like. I myself remember being a very stupid kid when I joined. I wouldn't have blamed the mods at the time for banning me for spam posts or offensive posting in my first year or so, if I'm honest. I don't think the older members (the very early members) liked me very much, either. But (in my experience) it's as much up to the user to fight through that and join in and learn as much as it is up to the veterans of a community to be accepting of those newbies trying to make that effort. I think we do okay in both of those things here. TLDR I think we do okay regarding newer members here. We could do more to keep people around, but on the whole I don't think we're an overly nasty community at all Also I think this is super important so I'm quoting it to highlight it again:

    Miitomo

I don't even put that much time into the game. I spend 2 minutes a day changing up my Mii in the wardrobe and 'checking' 10 answers from friends (I don't really read them I just scroll through them super fast but dont tell Nintendo). EDIT I mostly stopped playing because I kept getting the same questions over and over though. Past the ~80 answers mark the game just started repeating and I got bored.

    Miitomo

So how many Nintendo Points have you guys racked up so far using Miitomo? I assume a lot just dropped it after the first couple of weeks, but I'm curious to see how many people here are still checking in every day for their points. This is the amount I have at the moment. I bought WarioWareTouched, but I'm not that into Picross so haven't bothered buying that. Hoarding points in hope something decent gets released soon. I miss physical rewards, though :c
  21. That didn't take as long as I expected:
  22. That Lion is a beast. I love it. So happy to see customisation back. Also happy to see some more realistic proportions and animations to character models. Pokemon is slowly becoming the game I always dreamed it would be as a kid. The new starters look great, too. Litten is probably going to end up the most popular (unless its evolutions suck), and its probably going to be my pick, too. With this and Monster Hunter Generations releasing later this year, it looks like I'll be playing 3DS a lot again soon.

    Overwatch

I recorded one of my favourite kills of mine from my first online game of the beta. It doesn't look that amazing playing it back, but at the time beating that other Reinhardt felt so satisfying. Anyone else have any moments like this from the beta?

    Overwatch

I just played a few games of the open beta and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I haven't been following this game at all so jumping in blind was a fun experience. There's loads of playstyles and characters to try out and loads of stuff to see/unlock. Also the game's art style is very nice to look at. Although I don't have any plans to pick the full game up at launch, Overwatch has definitely piqued my interest and I look forward to seeing what becomes of it.
