    Announcing Game 4!

What’s this?? Game 4 is upon us!! Shortly before the release of BattleBlock Theater we started working on something new. We schemed up a bunch of concepts and picked our strongest one. From there we fleshed out the lone survivor prototype!!! As it grew stronger and stronger, we polished it, furnished it with delights, and added (gluten free?) sprinkles. Yes, as the chicken dictates, this game is of a genre we haven’t covered before and seek to breathe a new flavor into. Maybe you can find a hint in the video below about which genre it is?? What we’ve ended up with is something we are all very proud of. I am confident you’ll get a kick out of this one. So we’ve decided to bring it to PAX Prime — and you can play it! As usual we’ll want your feedback to steer the process. I cannot wait to show you guys what we’ve got! Until that time, please enjoy the introduction video to this grand and mysterious adventure………. Stay tuned for more info at PAX Prime Booth 3003!!! END BRAIN SEQUENCE 0459672-B -Dan Paladin

    Game 4 - Xbox One

Game 4 teaser You’ve probably seen it out on the interwebs by now, but here’s our Game 4 t-shirt! Game 4 is a working title, like Game 3 was before it later became BattleBlock Theater. We’re developing Game 4 for Xbox One! Woot! You’ll be able to find out more misinformation throughout the year at RTX, San Diego Comic-Con, and PAX Prime! -------------------------------------------- Thoughts on the tee? Speculation?

  4. Our team is headed back to Raptr for another helping of Raptr Q&A, but this time with a live streaming event! Dan Paladin (Co-Founder/Art Director), Will Stamper (Narrator for BBT), Larry Bolden (Compliance Specialist), and I, Megan Lam (Community Captain) are taking over the Raptr Twitch channel on Monday, May 12 from 2:30-3:30PM PDT to demo the upcoming Steam version of BattleBlock Theater; we’ll show you what’s new and improved! Then right after the stream, Emil Ayoubkhan (Project Manager) and Ian Moreno (Production Coordinator) will join us to answer all of your BattleBlock Theater or Behemoth-related questions on the Raptr Q&A page. You can start leaving your Qs in the Raptr Q&A page HERE — and if you “Like” the questions you want answered the most, we’ll try to get to those first! Make your questions count as we’re giving away free five Steam copies of BattleBlock Theater, Behemoth swag (Cat guard dog toy + raccoon key chain combo), and 500 Reward Points to the best questions asked (as determined by Raptr staff). Hope to chat with y’all on Monday!
  5. About a year ago we were very lucky to bring in a new member of The Behemoth team to help with BattleBlock Theater development. Derek Lieu first joined us in 2012 to help with our Kickstarter video for the Necromancer figurine. Then we brought him in to change the process for BattleBlock Theater’s cutscene animation. You may also recognize his video editing in the recent trailers for BattleBlock Theater with art by Dan Paladin & Eric Haddad and narration by Will Stamper. Derek has taken some time to share his involvement in the process for the in game cutscenes in BattleBlock Theater (BBT) and his collaboration with Dan & Will, from concept to final product. Read his words here! Chapter 7 – Story board by Dan Paladin

    Behemoth Writers?

Hey Behemoth, Was lucky enough to catch the cinematics for Battle Block Theater earlier today and it got me wondering; does The Behemoth have a designated narrative designer/ writer who lays out the dialogue for your games? Or is it more of a collaborative effort where the team sits down to throw around ideas and see what they like? Also, is it the same process for new games? If this seems totally out of left field, I'm a game design student so getting some insight into your development process really interests me. Would have posted this in the dev blog but it still won't let new members register. Thanks.
