Dad question about DLC content(characters, pets, weapons,etc

Looking at downloading some of the new DLC's for my sons birthday. Since I am 'dad; and not very game literate, I would like to know if the content is available for the entire game or just the user it is downloaded through. The boys play on an XBox Live. I am thinking the accounts are specific to the XBox, so the DLC would apply to the entire game. Just want to make sure...

i may be wrong but i do believe any account thats on the xbox you buy the dlc for can access that dlc

I buy the DLC on my brothers account and use it with my account. So, from what I can tell, for the Xbox 360 at least, DLC works for the entire Xbox, not just the profile that bought it. I hope this helps

All DLC you buy is linked to both the account (gamertag) you bought it on and the xbox it is first downloaded on. So any account logged in to the xbox you first downloaded the DLC on can access it and you can access your DLC on any xbox you recover your gamertag on.

When you buy the DLC, it's put on the xbox. Anyone playing on that xbox will have access to that DLC. So as long as your son's account is on the xbox your purchasing you'll have the DLC for it.
