Can Someone Explain Subclass In Destiny?

So I'm playing destiny. I just made it to Lvl 20(Hunter). But I don't get to use the subclass. I can use any skills or upgrades in it? Can someone explain how it works? Also, if you wanna play with me and help me get legendary gear and stuff. Add me on PS4: Dxstillstanding

Subclasses are like equipment.

You can swap between the 2 subclasses at any time.

However you have to level them separately. 

 

You should've gotten the Blade Dancer subclass at level 15.

It won't let me level it separately. I try to but it's just empty or it won't let me upgrade it.

Equip it first.

You won't have your grenades, skill, jump skill, or super when you first start using it.

You'll basically start over.

I found something, a glitch or whatever.

 

When you're in the opening scene, with the cars stuff, you can switch your subclass. I'm not sure if it's because you might have another l15+ character, or what. But I have a sunsinger Warlock who's a lvl 6 now, so yeah.

I switch between Destiny and other games; you could catch me, I'm GoatChicken007. I'm not big for playing non-independently, but if you need help for specific things, I will give assistance.

 

Oh, and I'm not big on mics. The PS4's is poopy anyways.

 

Also, as of 10-19-14, 10:25 AM EST, I have: a l26 titan, l6 warlock, and a l5 hunter.
